We are delighted to announce that our Whitstable-based Revival Food and Mood has been awarded £10,000 to support those struggling with their mental health in the Canterbury district.
Funding has come from the Awards for All arm of the National Lottery and will support Revival’s adult outreach project. A range of activities will be supported using the funding over the course of 2023 including talking circles, walk and talk sessions and Make, Mend and Motivate groups. Clients learn tips and techniques to improve their wellbeing while gaining confidence in social situations.
Deborah Haylett, Revival Executive Director said: “We are thrilled to have been awarded £9,950 from Awards for All and have exciting plans for the coming year. Our outreach work is vital to support the community while the construction of the new Revival Food and Mood café is completed in Whitstable High Street.”
“Much of our mental wellbeing work is delivered through peer support and includes sessions such as women’s wellness, men-only talking circle and nature wellbeing groups.”
The funding will enable up to nine support and creative wellbeing groups to be staged regularly over the next 12 months supporting more than 80 people and we are thrilled to be able to sustain this support with the help of the National Lottery Fund.
