A driven, proactive and reliable cafe/kitchen all-rounder who thrives in a fast paced environment and is happy to jump in and take the lead when needed.![]()

You will be joining a small team where everyone works together across all areas from basic prep to Front of house service - training is given and we work with your skills, experience and interests. EDIT - whilst training on our specific policies and procedures will be given, the role does require some previous experience, by nature of the duties and responsibilities involved. ![]()

Duties include:![]()
![]()
😌Delivering a warm, welcoming, attentive service and staying organised, calm and efficient during busy periods ![]()
☕️Preparing consistently great coffee, and speciality hot and cold drinks ![]()
✅Using the till and processing orders accurately![]()
🥙Making and serving toasties, wraps and other café food![]()
🧼Helping with washing up, cleaning and open and close procedures.![]()
![]()
Hours:![]()
• Part-time 16-20 hours per week![]()
• Early and some later shifts![]()
• Availability required across the week, especially weekends.![]()
18+ due to responsibilities ![]()

Nobody grew these alone.![]()
The Scouts planted them out in March,![]()
someone carried water through the dry weeks,![]()
someone else staked them when the wind came round the houses,![]()
so the height is nobody’s and everybody’s.![]()
You come in off the road and follow the shell path,![]()
white underfoot, ![]()
what the town ate and put back,![]()
and they are waiting at the end of it.![]()
They have gone up the side of our water tank,![]()
past the mesh, past the point where anyone![]()
expected them to stop, ![]()
and the old cedar![]()
leans over from next door, ![]()
grey, unimpressed,![]()
having seen a hundred summers of this.![]()
The tallest keeps its face to the east.![]()
Its centre is packed tight as a full room,![]()
every seed set beside another seed,![]()
no gaps, no space kept back for later.![]()
A bee works the rim without hurry.![]()
Lower down, out of the wind, the red one![]()
holds its dark heart ringed with small yellow flames,![]()
like a crowd at dusk, each one holding light.![]()
By October the heads will bow with the weight,![]()
leaning over, giving themselves back:![]()
seed into hands, ![]()
hands into next year’s ground.
