Our Practitioners

Hatha Yoga Teacher

Toto Ellis

Toto has worked in the worlds of advertising, PR, music and film for the past two decades. Industries that offer lots of ‘excitement’ but very little in the way of wellness or balance. He has become acutely aware of a lack of mental health support in creative industries and across all sections of society. He trained as a YTT200 hour breath-based Hatha yoga teacher in 2020 and is completing a Yoga Alliance 80 hour meditation coaching course

Toto has worked in the worlds of advertising, PR, music and film for the past two decades. Industries that offer lots of ‘excitement’ but very little in the way of wellness or balance. This mirrored a lot of his upbringing. His father ‘escaped’ the Troubles in Northern Ireland and his working-class roots to find fame on British TV but struggled with numerous mental health battles. His brother Hugo tragically lost his life to depression.

Through his own journey to tackle his anxiety (and recent ADHD diagnosis) – Toto has become acutely aware of a lack of mental health support in creative industries and across all sections of society. He trained as a YTT200 hour breath-based Hatha yoga teacher in 2020 and is completing a Yoga Alliance 80 hour meditation coaching course. He’s passionate about improving health and happiness in society and volunteers with St John Ambulance, is a board trustee of ThickSkin (not for profit theatre company), and recently joined Revival Food & Mood as strategic committee member.

Toto strives to spread awareness on how yoga can be used as a tool to improve mental health – it invites inner stillness, unifies mind and body, and helps with everything from stress to mood. He’s also passionate about showing people how yoga is for everyone, regardless of experience or flexibility.

Toto will be offering group yoga sessions for everyone, but especially for anyone who may never have tried yoga before, or may think they are not flexible enough.

Helen is a qualified Solution-Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist based at Evolution Health in Whitstable and a senior lecturer in Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy in Plymouth. Her practice is based in neuroscience and Helen can help individuals change the neural pathways in their brain to alter their habits and find healthier solutions.

Helen’s journey to Hypnotherapy started years earlier in her previous life as an educator. Teaching students in colleges and universities in the UK, US and Western Pacific, Helen often encountered students with significant barriers to learning, whether that be confidence, motivation, exam stress or past trauma and difficulties in daily living. More and more she wanted to help her students become their best selves so that they could learn. Pastoral support was not enough and so she embarked on a counselling qualification. During this period of study, she was exposed to hypnotherapy and decided to switch her focus as the methods, she felt, were producing better and faster results.

Helen offers 1:1 sessions as well as group sessions for relaxation and reframing the mind to focus on a positive future. She can help with anxiety, depression, anger management, unhealthy habits and addictions, phobias, stress relief, sports performance, exam stress, public speaking, fertility, and childbirth. She works with children and adults.

Helen will be offering the following as part of the Mental Health Bank:

Want to feel relaxed? Let go of stress? Come and join me for a group relaxation session where you will learn how to change your thinking and cope better with stress. Lie back and close your eyes and let your mind drift as the music plays and Helen talks about all of the resources you have within you to be your best self.

You can contact Helen via email and for more information you can visit Helen’s website, her profile on Evolution Health and her profile on CPHT.

Sound Healer, Reiki Master, Yoga teacher, Emotional Support Guide

Lou Marie

Lou began her journey training as a professional dancer and Yoga teacher. Training in both the UK and Thailand, Lou honed her skills as a Vinyasa, Hatha, and Yin teacher.

Lou's compassionate nature led her to work as a support worker for the YMCA, where she nurtured homeless young adults in need. The training, wisdom and experiences she gathered there were profound and transformative, paving the way for Luna Sol Amor - a sanctuary of support, guidance, and inner nourishment.

Her unique approach to holding space blends sound, energy healing, and her personal life journey. Lou’s offerings are as unique as the individuals she serves, working intuitively with the energy you bring, ensuring no two experiences are the same.

Lou’s warmth and strength creates a space where you are truly seen and deeply understood. From an early age, she developed the ability to look beneath the surface, guiding people back to harmony with themselves – her clients describe spending time with her as nurturing, insightful and transformative.

What will Lou be offering within MHB?

Group Crystal bowl soundbaths – a relaxing and rejuvenating hour of immersive sound healing. Bringing the mind and body back into a state of harmony as you drift off into a deeply healing nap.

Wellbeing Transformational Coaching

Annette Stein

I spent many years from an early age trying to understand why people struggled so much, and searching for the best ways to have a happier and healthier life.

I threw myself into a career in alternative health qualifying as a homeopath and craniosacral therapist and then went on to train as a transformational wellbeing coach.

I threw myself into a career in alternative health qualifying as a homeopath and craniosacral therapist and then went on to train as a transformational wellbeing coach.

After many years still feeling like there was something more, I came across an understanding of how our minds work and that changed everything for me. We’re all doing what makes sense to us every one of us feels like life is spinning out of control at times, but that does not mean there is something wrong with you, that you have something missing, that you’re broken or that you don’t have the ability to cope.

What if life could be simple?
What if experiences like anxiety, anger or overwhelm could be okay and not need ‘fixing’?
What if feeling fulfilled and at ease with yourself required no forcing? What if you could achieve more, whilst striving less?

As part of the Mental Health Bank I will help you ‘Find your way back to Wellbeing’:
It is the human condition to lose sight of our wellbeing, of this natural state of calm clear-headedness, but there is a reliable way back to it, that you can learn to access, any time you like. It is this that I will guide you to in your sessions.

I use reflexology (both as a practitioner and for myself to help rebalance the nervous system and promote physical, mental and emotional well being.

Reflexology works by stimulating nerve endings (mainly on the feet but also the lower leg and hands), that relate to the systems of the body. I use a variety of touch, massage and energy techniques to work on connected areas, helping the body back into balance and giving it the best chance of healing itself.

I treat each patient with a bespoke plan, working to calm or raise energy as needed. I also tailor advice for positive actions clients can take between treatments, and refer to other complementary therapies if appropriate.

I love the open, inclusive, supportive environment that Revival has created and am looking forward to offering treatments as part of their Mental Health Bank. This will include: Reflexology for general relaxation, anxiety & stress. I am trained in both foot and hand reflexology (as well as specialist stress protocols) so either format can be used. Treatments will be approx 45 minutes.

Yogabytheseasalter

Tracy Hunt

I have been teaching yoga for over 20 years within the NHS, education as well as privately, in the UK and abroad. My aim is to support ‘every body’, both physically and mentally, to improve wellbeing.

After moving to Whitstable 2 years ago I have been involved with Revival as I have a keen interest in mental health. I hold community yoga classes locally for all abilities and ages with emphasis on meditation, breathing, stretching the body (with adaptions for any physical limitations) and relaxation. Classes are held inside, in nature and on-line so that no one is excluded.

Tracy will be offering chair based yoga exercises as part of the Mental Health Bank, using a blend of simple yoga poses to strengthen the body and calm the mind. In addition breathing techniques and mindfulness meditation will be introduced. All abilities are welcome.

Reiki Master

Amber Ferguson

As a Reiki Master I treat the whole person including physical body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation, less anxiety, better sleep, overall happiness, self-confidence and better physical health.

Reiki is a Japanese technique based on the 7 energy centres of the body, or chakras, for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the idea that a universal life force energy flows through us all, which causes us to be alive. As a Reiki practitioner I treat the whole person including physical body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation, less anxiety, better sleep, overall happiness, self-confidence and better physical health.

Having suffered some trauma throughout my life, I embarked on my healing and wellness journey and found that both energy and emotional blockage healing had a profound effect on my mental health and wellbeing. This lead me to train in reiki therapy and trauma massage therapy, the two modalities that have helped me the most on my journey.

Amber will be offering 1:1 reiki sessions as part of the Mental Health Bank.

Amber spends her days out in nature as a dog walker and is one of the co-founders of the campaign group SOS Whitstable, who fight for a cleaner coastline. She is passionate about helping our mother earth, including all of the humans and animals who live here.

Feldenkrais Method Practitioner

Kristin Fredricksson

I am a Feldenkrais Method Practitioner with a background in movement and theatre arts. I help people improve their movement skills, alleviate pain and address chronic and life-destroying conditions, both in their mental and physical health.

My practice focuses on Creative Wellbeing, exploring where delicate body sense and simple creativity meet. My clients are people looking to find freedom in their movement and ignite the creative spark in their lives. My approach is gentle, warm and inclusive; stories, vivid imagery and humour may be included! I am a student of Somatic Experiencing and my practice is trauma-informed. I have worked with people both individually and in groups using movement to find more comfortable and creative ways to live since 2005.

In my Mental Health Bank session you can expect to talk a bit about what you would like, then I will guide you through small movements either verbally or through touch. You may lie on a table if that we agree on that. We will explore and expand what is possible and easy for you together. This kind of moving with attention uses your innate neuroplasticity to help you feel safe in your nervous system and better in the world.
