Whitstable and Herne Bay Beekeeper
Hi, I am Keith Hooker and have been a beekeeper for around 50 years and hold the Practical Certificate of the British Beekeepers Association. I manage the bees for the Whitstable and Herne Bay Beekeepers which is a branch of the KBA.
We currently have 2 apiaries with 8 colonies and train new beekeepers each year.
I will be sharing my knowledge of bees at the hives located at East Kent Minds Community Oasis Garden situated on the Canterbury University campus. The talk will last for half an hour and will include information on where the bees source their pollen/ nectar followed by a bee pollen hunt and walk.
