
Andy Taylor has lived in Whitstable for over 20 years and has a life long passion for nature and the outdoors. In the last few years he has been involved in the CT5 Peoples Forum and the EcoGroup, guiding wildlife walks and leading nature-related workshops.
He works with the Butterly Conservancy on Kent’s Magnificent Moths project and in particular with regards to our extremely rare local moth, the Fishers Estuarine, of which he is a designated ‘Species Champion’.
Andy campaigns on local issues such as the ongoing pollution in our seas and waterways and sometimes appears on TV as a local spokesperson. He also advocates for wildlife friendly gardening and was once a winner of Kent Wildlife Trust’s garden of the year.
