Our newly published 2025 Impact Report celebrates a year of connection, resilience and practical mental health support in the heart of Whitstable. It shows what dedicated local action can achieve—and why sustaining that work matters.
Across the year, Revival recorded 2,121 core programme attendances, including 206 Mental Health Bank appointments. Behind those figures are people finding support, building friendships and beginning to feel more able to manage everyday life.

For someone living alone, coming to Revival can mean having a reason to leave the house and familiar faces to look forward to seeing. For a carer, it can offer space to talk about their own needs. For someone facing bereavement, anxiety or difficult circumstances, it can be a first step towards feeling heard and supported.
Our aim is simple: to make mental health support accessible and help people feel they belong. As a community café and mental health hub within Mind in Bexley and East Kent, we bring that support into an everyday setting on the High Street. Food, music, creativity and conversation help create a welcoming space where people can connect at their own pace.
Kindness, inclusion and respect shape how we work. We recognise people’s strengths, interests and contributions, alongside the difficulties they may be facing.
Day in, day out, our staff, volunteers and practitioners put these values into practice. Our work includes facilitated peer support groups, one-to-one wellbeing and social prescribing appointments, creative activities, walking, singing and the Mental Health Bank, which makes a range of practitioner-led wellbeing approaches available free at the point of access.
In 2025, that work included:
- 368+ group sessions, creating regular opportunities for support and connection.
- 96 one-to-one social prescribing and wellbeing appointments, helping people explore their needs and find appropriate support.
- 539 enquiries answered and signposting provided, helping people find a way forward.
We fill gaps in services while keeping prevention and resilience at the heart of our work. That means offering support early, helping people develop ways to cope, and creating stronger, more connected communities where support is part of everyday life.
The feedback in our report shows why this matters. 96% of group feedback responses rated the experience positively or very positively, and 99% reported feeling welcomed, safe and supported. Reported wellbeing scores increased across all six services evaluated during July–December 2025.
People described making friends, feeling understood, sharing problems and finding a greater sense of belonging. Among Mental Health Bank feedback responses, 92% reported improved mental wellbeing following their session. One person put it simply:
“It’s brought me clarity; I am listened to.”
Listening also helps us improve. Monitoring and evaluation allow us to learn from people’s experiences, understand what is working and respond to local needs.
Partnerships are essential to that response. We receive direct referrals from GPs, social services and other local service providers. Alongside delivering our own services, we host information and support sessions with visiting professionals. Working with local organisations and strengthening local networks helps us connect people with appropriate support and keeps our shared focus on improving outcomes for local residents.
We are proud of what we achieve together. Thank you to our dedicated staff, volunteers and practitioners, our funders and partners, and everyone who donates, fundraises, joins as a Revival Proud Member (RPM), or chooses to spend their hard-earned money at Revival. Your time, commitment and generosity make a difference.
In a challenging economic and funding landscape, sustainability takes sustained community backing. Café income, grants, fundraising and donations all help keep our mental health work going. A regular contribution helps us plan ahead; a café visit or fundraising event helps sustain the support people return to week after week.
Help us be there for the next person who needs somewhere to turn. Donate, become an RPM, fundraise, support our café or share our work. Together, we can keep accessible mental health support at the heart of our community.
