A Joyful Day at Whitstable Carnival 2025: Revival Joins the Parade

On a sunny Saturday in August, the streets of Whitstable burst into colour, music and celebration for the annual Whitstable Carnival 2025, and Revival was right there in the heart of it.

Our walking float brought a burst of 1960s and 70s flair in the name of celebrating community spirit and mental wellbeing. It wasn’t just a parade; it was a chance to show what Revival stands for, belonging, joy, and support for everyone.

We want to say a huge thank you to Keith from Cathedral Electrical, who made our day extra special by joining the Revival team in his stunning vintage VW. His generosity and style helped us arrive in true Revival fashion!

Our heartfelt thanks also go to every one of our wonderful volunteers and staff who walked as part of our float, holding handmade signs, spreading cheer, and showing the town just how vibrant community care can be.

And of course, a big thank you to the Whitstable Carnival Committee, who worked tirelessly to make the day run so smoothly. The effort that goes into organising such a joyful, inclusive and safe event does not go unnoticed, and this year’s parade had one of the biggest turnouts in recent years.

All the money raised at the carnival goes back into community projects, and we’re proud that Revival is one of the local causes supported. These funds help us to continue offering safe spaces, peer support, mental health groups and community connection for people across Whitstable and East Kent.

The smiles say it all. Carnival day isn’t just about the costumes and floats, it’s about community and connection. And at Revival, we know just how powerful that can be.
