Revival Sounds Social
First Thursday of every month | 5–9pm | Revival Food & Mood, Whitstable
In partnership with Gatefield Sounds, Revival Sounds Social brings a relaxed evening of great music, good food and local community. Each month features an eclectic mix of vinyl and DJ sets curated by the Gatefield team, creating the perfect atmosphere to unwind and connect. Enjoy drinks, cake and a laid-back crowd who love music as much as we do.
All proceeds from the night support the Revival Lates Youth Café, helping us provide a safe and creative space for young people in Whitstable.

Vinyl Open Decks Night at Revival
Not running during December, back on the 30th January.
Join us on the last Friday of every month, from 7pm for Seven by Seven @ 7pm, our vinyl open decks social night.
The Format: An open-decks vinyl night inspired by the Leeds’ Seven by Seven club. Bring up to seven of your 7″ singles (or pick from ours) and take a turn on the decks – no competition, no pressure, just good tunes. We’ll draw names from a pot to determine the running order, and volunteer DJs will be on hand to help. If the turnout is high, sets may be slightly shortened to allow more people to play. Or, if you’d rather not spin, you’re welcome to just come and listen. Bar open and food available.
All proceeds support the Revival Community Mental Health Programme.
Revival Community Awards
The inaugural Revival Community Awards was held at Canterbury Christ Church University on Sunday 29 March in front of an invited audience of 160 people.
The awards ceremony, hosted by Revival Food & Mood and East Kent Mind, celebrated the individuals reviving our businesses, clubs and charities. Winners included unsung heroes of the workplace, volunteers, community and business leaders, as well as champions of mental health.

We were recently reminded after the tragic death of 19yr old Ashton Harrington, the importance of sharing information about the location of Bleed Kits.Ashtons mother Camille is currently campaigning for more bleed kits in the area and we support her by sharing the link below. 💬Do you want my advice, or would you like me just to listen?” 💛I had the privilege of hosting the Supporting your child or teen’s Mental Health: Talk & Support session last night at Revival. This was just one take away, the evening was packed full of interesting and important information.Natalie from Campfire Counselling shared her professional experience as a counsellor and former teacher alongside her personal experience as a mum. We covered so much, but a few other things really stayed with me:💛 Small steps count. Using a traffic light system to interpret and support - if something feels “red” for our young person, how might we help and support them to make it feel amber? Might too many green experiences flag the need to watch for burn-out and what support would make that next step manageable?💛 Parent/carer needs matter too. The A B C of self-care - “Am I okay to co-regulate right now?” Taking a Breath and being Calm - slowing ourselves down can be part of supporting our children.💛 Connection can happen side by side. Taking the pressure of direct eye contact and ‘interview style’ interactions with side-by-side sitting and how sometimes a walk or a car ride as an everyday moment together creates the space to talk.💛 Rest looks different for everyone. Even when things feel good, we still need time to pause and decompress - parents/cares and our young-people alike.The discussion afterwards was such a valuable part of the evening: parents sharing stories, challenges, strategies and things they’re still working out.
