This Week is Mental Health Awareness Week, we are asking Whitstable to #WearItBrightForRevival 💛🌈![]()
At the end of last year, I visited so many wonderful local businesses who stood for pictures with out bright coloured t-shirts and they are helping raise awareness for mental health support here on the high street. We captured some beautiful moments and this week we’ll be sharing those photos to continue spreading kindness, hope, and conversation throughout our community.![]()
Sadly, since then, we have experienced the heart breaking loss of one of our beautiful young members of staff Herbie. A loss that has deeply affected all of us along with everyone involved in the tragic events of that evening. ![]()
This campaign now carries even more meaning.![]()
Mental health affects every one of us, and sometimes the people smiling brightest are carrying the heaviest struggles. We want this week to be about compassion, checking in with one another, and helping people know where support can be found.![]()
We may not have reached every business last year, but we would still love Whitstable to support in any way they can, whether that’s wearing something bright, sharing a post, putting up a sign, donating, or simply starting a conversation around mental health.![]()
Most importantly, we want people to know:
You are not alone.
There is support here.
And conversations can save lives.![]()
Our community mental health support programme is based right here on Whitstable High Street and we are here for anyone who needs us.![]()
Let’s fill the high street with colour, kindness, and connection this week. Please if you see this post share, like and comment. post a picture of family, friends or colleagues wearing something bright or just tag us in a post to say hi. 🌈![]()

🌱BEAUTIFUL ✨ I can’t tell how positive and wonderful working on the Revival community garden continues to be. Even with stressful moments and challenges - such as deliveries and early starts - literally contacting volunteers just after 8am in a panic as the new secure shed is waiting to be installed on site and the council loan one needs to be emptied and removed - to have Karen and Graham abandon showers and race over to help ♥️ it always some how works out, and feels good - everyone comes together and they are genuinely the most lovely people. There is still so much to do and a long way to go, but it is already worth it 💫![]()
And thanks again to @davidpalmer519 for being just the best blister 😂![]()
