I am Joanna and I recently moved to Whitstable from London where I taught Qi Gong and meditation. Qi Gong is an ancient Oriental method of balancing life and energy through exercise.
My sessions will be an hour long, starting with a meditation to relax the body and clear the mind, some gentle stretching exercises to warm and loosen up the body. Then some deep abdominal breathing exercises which slow the heart rate and allow the body to become deeply relaxed. Our bodies are then ready to do the Qi Gong exercises themselves.
These are slow gentle movements that combine with deep breathing to bring about feelings of relaxation. Known as ‘internal exercises’, they bring nourishment and vitality to the internal organs of the body.
They can be chair based so they are suitable for any age or ability.
In the sessions I am offering as part of the Mental health bank you will learn how to relax and overcome feelings of anxiety while feeling invigorating from gentle stretching.
Sessions will either be group or 1:1.

Jenni Board is a Level 5 qualified Reflexology Therapist practising in Whitstable, East Kent.
Reflexology is a holistic, complementary therapy that can be used to promote positive health, relaxation and well-being. Its key elements are touch and empathy in a supportive environment.
“ I understand firsthand how mental and physical health are linked and how stress or anxiety can impact our minds and bodies. I use reflexology (both as a practitioner and a client) to help rebalance the nervous system and promote feelings of physical and emotional well-being.
Reflexology works by stimulating nerve endings (mainly on the feet but also the lower leg and hands), that relate to the systems of the body. I use a variety of touch, massage and energy techniques to work on connected areas, helping the body back into balance and giving it the best chance of healing itself.
I treat each patient with a bespoke plan, working to calm or raise energy as needed. I also tailor advice for positive actions clients can take between treatments, and refer other complementary therapies if
appropriate.
I love the open, inclusive, supportive environment that Revival have created and am looking forward to offering treatments as part of their Caring Collective.”

Hello,
I am Bernadette,
Training as a Sacred Passage Death Doula and End of Life Coach a few years back fulfilled a long held wish to be present for folk facing death, as well as friends and family dealing with death and grief in any way I can be of service.
This training included learning how to support both individuals and groups through grief. As a founding member of Embracing Life Through Facing Death Collective – an East Kent collective of Doula’s I’ve been part of a wonderful team that hold an annual event to explore aspects of death and dying.
Co-creating rituals and ceremonies to support people in marking all manner of significant milestones including death, anniversary of deaths, adoption of children, and other important life transitions is my passion. Through ritual and ceremony we can process changes to find meaning and comfort.
I facilitate, local meditation groups here in Whitstable.
I practice as a Reiki and Sound Healer.
Formerly I spent thirty marvellous years in Primary Education twelve as a headteacher. Working at the heart of communities with all manner of wonderful people with diverse experiences and views.
I enjoy being a grandmother, walking my Bedlington Whippet Sam, gardening and swimming in cold water.
I will be offering a Grief Circle as part of the Mental Health Bank. A grief circle is a safe space to share grief. Through sharing feelings can be expressed and processed. Our group will have a structure, a routine, with of course flexibility where needed. Our group will have a maximum of 10 people and be a closed group, once formed no additional people can join, this is to increase the sense of security and predictability for those involved. This is not counselling, this is not problem solving or fixing ( though many people report feeling better for sharing). It is simply a place to come together and speak , be heard and be a witness, a listener for others who are grieving. I will gently hold the group and facilitate the sharing and honouring.
With love
Bernadette
